Just like our clothes and interiors we also like to combine basic essentials within our cooking. We like to use items which are easily accessible to combine into our busy life schedules. This basic hummus is so tasty, easy to make and will take around 5 minutes. Yes, literally 5 minutes. You can buy all ingredients from your local health food stores or supermarkets! The recipe makes a large quantity so you can divide it up and play around with adding additional ingredients and spices to suit your taste buds. If you're thinking of adding additional ingredients we suggest; roasted red pepper, paprika, beetroot or sun dried tomatoes.

Basic ingredients:

- 2 x 400g tins of chickpeas, drained
- 10 tablespoons of olive oil
- juice of 2 lemons
- 2 heaped tablespoons of coconut oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- salt and pepper

All you have to do is combine all ingredients into a food processor and blend them up until smooth.
Then you're done!
We've finished ours with a sprinkling of paprika.

Told you it was easy....
