green mornings

This morning I started the day by making a delicious green smoothie packed with nutritious goodness. They're really easy to make and you can adapt the recipe to match what foods you like.

- A handful of kale (partly boiled to soften)
- A handful of spinach leaves
- 1 banana
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 cups of water (or coconut water)
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

Blend the leafy greens and water together first until smooth. Then add in the avocado - note, the more you add the thicker & creamer it will be. If too much avocado is used, add in more liquid. Once this has been blended add in the banana and coconut oil. Add more liquid if needed.
